We highly recommend Preemies: The Essential Guide for Parents of Premature Babies (Paperback) by Dana Weschler Linden, Emma Trenti Paroli, and Mia Weschsler Doron M.D. This book was a tremendus help and explains things in a simple and easy to understand fashion. Buy it from any Barnes and Nobles.
Infant Reflux Disease is common in premature infants. Lily is still on medication to help control reflux. We are still hoping she outgrows it. There was a point where we and her doctors were considering surgery to control her reflux. Thankfully, the medicine helps and we were able to avoid the fundoplication surgery. The link to this website contains very valuable information on reflux and GIRD.
Parent-2-Parent has a parent's forum on reflux. My husband found this site very useful in making our decision whether or not to have the fundoplication surgery. We decided against it, and fortunately, Lily has been doing very well on medicine.
